Default HoM: Count Deldrimor Armor as a Full Set

I'm annoyed that the Deldrimor (aka dwarven) armor crafted in GW:EN doesn't count as a full set and can't be added into the Hall of Monuments.

Sure, it's not a full set, but it requires just as much time (reputation grinding etc) as the Norn, Asuran, and Monument sets. Also, I have 15k Druid's on my Ranger and am now getting Deldrimor, though the fact it cannot be HoM'd is annoying, and the Asuran/Monument sets look like bad reskins of the noobie collector armor, AND the Norn armor is too BIG for me.

If not for everyone, at least make the other classes who have full sets from Deldrimor crafters be able to put it into the HoM, not just warriors.

Come on ANet! I didn't farm snowmen for nothing...

They can't unless they add the 'missing' pieces for those armors that are not complete.

Like the ranger one.

Only real problem with this is the fact that they have four diff types of gloves. I also understand that each piece has some different name for what it is, but it is all from the same crafter, and he only has one chestpiece, legpiece, and pair of boots (for 9/10 professions). This should be able to be put in HoM. It has the same expense as all the other HoM armors. Off the top of my head, the chaos gloves take more ecto than the FoW chestpiece does.

(doesn't currently affect me now either)

Mithran, I don't see that happening. When I think of an armor "set" I think of all the pieces of an armor type, not necessarily Chest + Gloves + Leggings + Boots.

Artorius, I think the gloves and whatnot are just common, by "deldrimor" armor I mean the actual "set" you can get, and technically the chest + leggings + boots match even though they are named differently.

But sets DO require that parts:

- Chest, hands, legs and feet.
Just 4 pieces, without headgear.

If you allow players just to add 3 and other to add 4 it would be unfair.

I don't see anybody crying and /ragequit because Dervishes only have to add 3 pieces to get a statue no-one else cares about, yet Assassins have to add 4. Heck, if you really must... for classes without a 'full' set of 4 armour pieces, you need one of Stone/Dragon/Chaos Gauntlets instead, okai?

It always bugged me that Deldrimor sets weren't addable, given they require the same grind as other EotN sets.

Just call it chest/leggings/boots for all the Deldrimnor sets, regardless of whether the set in question has its own gloves or not. This does make it a little cheaper than the other elite armour sets... but it's still a heck of a lot more expensive than any of the nonelite sets.

If there's a programming issue, just put in 1K gloves for each of those sets, using the same art as the gloves crafted by Jolvor Stoneforge. Players could then just buy those gloves, use them to activate the monument, and then salvage them.

I'm sure pretty much everyone has at least one Deldrimnor set that they'd like to put into the HoM if they could (even if it's a set they haven't bought because they can't and would rather spend their money on something that can go there...)

Or better yet, allow ANY armor to go in there. But thats for a different thread(s).

I would love to see my Dwarf armor in my HoM. As it is the only "elite" armor that i am willing to get. Personally i dont care for any 15k armor either for the looks or i just dont feel like getting it. And i would like at least SOMETHING in that space. It would just make my HoM feel that much more complete.

I know that they are using HoM as a reward system for GW2. But lets have non-complete armor just for looks, not for any bonus. I dont care for the bonus' in GW2 i just want my pirate looking monk in my HoM!

I have wondered why they didn't do something like that after they allowed the warrior armor to be added to HoM. Shouldn't be that difficult to do.

This is rather late i guess, but I say if you can craft 4 or 5 pieces of armor from the same trader, it should count as a set and be addable to the Hall of Monuments. FoW armor only require 4 pieces, obviously, whilst you can acquire 5 pieces of "Deldrimor" armor. It's a very petty reason to say that Chaos Gloves etc. are "Common Armor" when they come from the same trader as the other "pieces." That shouldn't be too much to ask for considering the cost and desirability of certain pieces or in fact the whole set. Lastly, because i feel so strongly about this, it is unfair that Deldrimor is the only elite armor you cannot add to the HoM.

I bought the whole set of Deldrimore armor and then tried to put it in my HoM... I'm sure you can guess my reaction to this little surprise.

I got Silver Eagle...that's pretty much my HoM-worthy Deldrimor armor.

They're not full sets. They're pieces meant to be mix-matched with other pieces. The devs read the forums, they saw that people liked to mix and match sets. So they gave us a bunch of pieces that can be. Since they're not named the same, there should not have been any confusion about it.
